It's been a long time since any news has been shared in the blog. I promise that the delay has been caused by our hectic schedules. Although there have been no updates here, there have been lots of changes over the last few months.
I'll start with the wedding planning. It's a topic that is constantly on everyone's mind. There is hardly a day that goes by that someone doesn't ask about it. So far, and in the grand scheme of things, not a lot has been planned. But the baby steps of putting everything together brings the special day closer. After much talk, Mike and I agreed on a date. We have decided to tie the knot on May 29th, 2010. It's Memorial Day weekend which will allow my extended family extra travel time. Mike and I will also be done with the spring semester and have the summer together. I have also been looking at websites online and a few bridal magazines to get a few ideas. I must say that things are going to be interesting. You'll have to come to find out what they are!
Mike and I are both members of a Board of Directors for a summer camp that is sponsered by area churches of Christ. Beechwood Hills provides three weeks of summer camp. The President of the board asked if Mike and I would consider the positions of Director and C0-Director. After much consideration and prayers, we decided that we were up to the challenge. However, there was more to that decision. The job description set forth by the Board states that camp directors must be at least 25 years old, unless approved by the Board. So, we had to wait until the next meeting for approval. It did not take long for a unanimous approval. Mike and I will be the Directors of a week of camp in July. The age group will be 2nd-4th graders. We're excited and nervous.
I'm taking summer classes. They'll begin in May. My summer looks as though its going to be busy. I'm still going to work the same number of hours, and add classes, wedding planning and camp preparations. Whew! I would also like to throw in a quick trip to Tennessee to see some friends.
On a note that isn't about me... Mike just got a job at Target. We are relived that something pulled through. We went to Target one night to burn some time, the next morning Mike got the call for an interview. He began his training this week and is enjoying it so far. He's not, however, enjoying the 4am shift. Mike will also be taking a class this summer.
I apologize for the long delay in report. I will visit again with more updates!

A date is good progress! However, I'm not sure exactly where you are going to fit a wedding into THAT schedule! Whew! It makes me tired just reading it! :o)
Look forward to hearing more info as it comes available! Congrats to Michael on the job!
