Today I got my letter, finally! I was so excited to be able to hold onto something from him. I got a huge sense of renewal after reading what was going on with him. The letter makes him real again.
He is doing well. His RTC, he says is a tough man and in-your-face. Before Mike left, his Dad gave him the name of a program the Church of Christ has for recruits, so he was able to go to church this past Sunday. His days go from 6 am to 10 pm doing all sorts of exercises and whatnot. He is working on the ship staff (the ship being the building he's staying in). He also got the job of Mail Petty Officer. Mike gets to wear a pin on his collar for that job. There were many 'I miss yous' and 'write mes' in the notes.
