Finally!

Success at last! Mike and I finally were able to talk on the phone. Mike got all 50 questions correct on a past test and earned himself a 10 minute phone call. He called me Friday evening, about 5:15 (Michigan time) and we were able to talk. I must admit, after not talking to Mike since he left it was a little weird. It was difficult to believe that after all the frustration of the previously missed calls we were able to connect. I honestly don't remember most of the actual conversation. It was a whirlwind conversation for me. Everything happened very quickly and before I knew it our time was up. We didn't talk about much. Mike had a hard time believing that it was actually me on the other end of the line. It was an emotional call, but I tried to keep it light. I want him to stay in good spirits. He is well liked which isn't a suprise to me. He's doing well but still ready to come home. He will have one more chance to get a phone call before his graduation.

There are only 15 days until he's a sailor, and 20 until his graduation.
