I'm am really excited that tonight I will be climbing into a car with Mike's parents and driving to Florida! Our journey will begin at midnight tonight. Tomorrow we will be at their house in Pensacola, FL. Thursday, the plan is to drive over to Gulfport, Mississippi. We will stay on the base Thursday night and hopefully take Mike back to Pensacola on Friday. He put a request in, called a chit, to have a weekend where he does not have to muster every night. If this goes through, he will be able to stay with us during the weekend.
Mike is now in a Phase 2 status which allows him to wear civilian clothes. The other night I took my new laptop with a built in webcam and thanks to Skype, Mike got to pick out his own clothes.
